To promote
any product trade show is one of the biggest opportunities especially related
to electronics. There was a trade show held in Karachi where one UPS VRLA battery supplier had his booth,
and he was an overseas marketing representative of a Chinese company. The most interesting
thing was that he didn’t have the samples of batteries but with catalogs
and business cards he was attracting customers. On the front desk of the
booth he put his visiting cards and company catalogs, whenever any person passed the booth
he/she was getting attracted towards the stall because of pictures on the
brochure.
One person
from his battery stall was roaming around the hall and introduced his products
to other exhibitors who also required batteries for their applications. That supplier
got many leads and inquiries through potential buyers without even having
samples. That supplier was offering different VRLA batteries for many applications.
There were
solar panels, transformers, data centers, generators and so on. The physical
presence of the product was missing but still suppliers had good technical
knowledge and were giving suggestions to others about what batteries are
suitable for their applications. Many buyers got convened and showed their
interest to deal with them. UPS AGM batteries were the most demanding product by the customers because of
electricity problem and many buyers were planning to start big solar projects.
